I am looking to set up a form allowing users to submit posts via a form on my blog ( http://jurgle.com/ ). Ideally it will be set up similar to the form here http://www.threadwatch.org/submit.

Initially I was try to set it up using the form to collect the data then post it via the post by email functionality. Unfortunately I don't think that will allow posts to go into a moderation queue or let the author determine the desired category. Is there a plug in that allows for this type of set up?

I've done a ton of research but haven't been able to get pointed in the right direction. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the links but I'm not sure this is really what I'm looking for. I really want users to be able to submit posts via a form on the front end, without loggin into admin.

    Any more advice is appreciated.

I haven't seen a plugin for this at all, but it would certainly be possible I'm guessing to grab the relevant code from wp-admin/post.php and hack it into something usefull.

There is however a plugin for in-line editing of posts without heading to the admin interface, i'm not sure if it works for initial posting.

I want to establish the levels of the user so I can register them and allow them the privileges of that user level?

I want my students to be able to write, comment, and publish.

I can't find any way of doing that!

I've just released a plugin that allows non-registered users and normal users submit posts using a form on your webpage that can be approved by admins:

Sounds like this might be what schmigeggy is looking for?
