Can I build a WP site on a subdomain then move to my root later?

    Hi all!

    I have not decided on a name for my domain yet but I am ready to build my site. Can I build my WP site on a subdomain and then when I am ready move it to a http://www.domain.com? If so, what does the process entail? Do I need to rewrite code or mess with the databases?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
