First of all you will have to create a gallery. Then move all the videos into the gallery created. Navigate to Manage Gallery page and select that gallery. Use the Scan option to add videos to that particular gallery.

    Hope that helps you.

Thanks Praveen for the quick reply. I have two galleries and I did what you said.

After I scan the gallery folder, it says no new videos found. But I have videos in my posts and on my video page. Am I supposed to put the videos in a certain place? Where is the scan looking for videos?
    Thanks

Please make sure your gallery folders are located at proper location for the plugin to scan. Gallery folders must be created using the plugin. Also make sure your video file’s extensions are supported by the plugin.

    Thanks

    Praveen,

Thanks. Not sure what you mean by having my folders in the proper location. I set up two galleries using your plugin. All my videos are .flv and a few are .mov. My videos are in separate posts and on my video page.

Maybe you can make the plugin easier to use by having the scan feature use a feature to locate videos already uploaded. Your CVP has great potential but many of my videos, even .flv, are larger than 8M max upload, so that is a problem.

The side bar widget works well and I am using it for my smaller vids. Here is my site to view if you can help. Thanks for plugin and I might have to wait for any update to fully use.

    Hi Kevin,

You could add your video files to respective gallery folders which you have created using the plugin with FTP access. Then use the scan gallery folder option to get the list of into your gallery. By this you could overcome the max file upload limit.

Scanning videos uploaded previously into WordPress won’t work with this since automatic thumbnail creation/ manual thumbnail upload will be affected if videos are not a proper location.

    Thanks

    Hi Kevin,

maybe Praveen means your folders are in wp-content/uploads/video-gallery/your-gallery-name.

I’m currently working on the same issue.

    Hope that helped,

Yes, the gallery folder must be inside the wp-content/uploads/video-gallery/. The videos must be present in any of the folders inside this location. Only then the scan feature of plugin works.

    Thanks

Thank you Praveen and bkernan for your advice. I have managed to copy and move some of my video files into the gallery folder via ftp. After scanning, they show up.

This weekend I’m going to move the rest of my videos into the gallery and scan and clean up a bit.

    Thanks
    Kevin

I know this has been awhile, but I do not see a “SCAN” option in the ” Manage Gallery” page. The only option is DELETE.

    Suggestions?

Click on Manage Gallery, then click on your gallery Title. The next page will show Scan.

Hi, When I use the pop up option for the videos, I get a very small thumbnail on my webpage. Can you please tell how can I make them bigger?

    Thank you.
