   Is there a way to make the line-break <br> instead of <p/> when adding new text anywhere in wordpress! It seems when I want to have a linebreak, I have to manuelly go into the html-editor and re-write these codes...

   Press enter once for a line break (<br />) and twice for a new paragraph.

   If you'd like to disable the auto-<p>'ing, you really should search -- it's been covered many times. ;)

   are you talking about the rich text editor?
   try shift-enter.
