More stats frustration

The last few days with all the reported stats problems have been extremely frustrating. Users were not notified but had to dig for information until finding out that the “fix” for the stats problems is to install JetPack and stop using wp-stats. I’ve done that and am at least getting stats (sometimes) but they are inaccurate showing numbers of visits increasing and decreasing throughout the day. Now, to top everything off, this afternoon the site stats are breaking the dashboard. It’s literally pushing everything to the middle of the screen and/or giving a message that “Whoops! A small system error occurred.” Ya think?!?!

I and many other WordPress users would like a fast and permanent fix for the JetPack fix. Or else, let us go back to wp-stats. At least it worked.
