login ID “admin” can no longer sign on (5/14 nig

    hi all! i just upgraded one of my WP blogs to the 5/14 nightly (after not being successful with the 1.2 beta)… i replaced everything except for the index.php and the wp-config.php. i can no longer sign on. i checked the table entry of my username and it’s correct. i have since sent myself 2 e-mails for a new username and i get an answer back (which means it sees my login ID in the database) but when i enter the password, i get no error but i don’t get signed on.

    just to add, i even uploaded my backed up wp-config.php file and it still doesn’t work. could anyone tell me what i did wrong? or suggest where i should look first?

    well, it would work if i actually followed the instructions and RAN upgrade.php. i’m no longer getting errors when i launch the blog itself, but i still can’t log in to wp-login.php as admin. (i only changed the password when i first installed.) any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    very interesting… and i was able to solve my problem.
    i went into the wp_users table in my database and i noticed that my login had a ID of 2. i only have 1 ID set up. i checked another *users table on another WP blog and it said 1. so i changed it to 1. i was able to sign back in.
    i don’t know how that happened but i’m back in and i’m a HAPPY camper.
