Page permalink with -2

    Your assumption is correct.

    A page will exist somewhere (possibly in the trash!) with a slug of ‘about’. This will need to change before you can use the slug on another page.

    Alright, well I found the original “about” file. Took it out of the trash. But I am still unable to make it the go to file. How to I change the permalink attached to the “about” button on my page?

    Are you using a custom menu? If so, then you need to change the page there as well.

    I am using a theme that I purchased. I am only semi literate when it comes to things like this. I can do it, I just need to know where to look. CSS, HTML…some other place?

    Try Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus
