Support » Fixing WordPress » Blogging using WP and Zempt with accentuated chara

  • Hi,
    my native language is French and we have a lot of accents such as éàçèô…
    I used to use MovableType and was waiting for a version where XMLRPC is not broken
    when you have a post with accents but with the new licence scheme MT is not for me anymore.
    So I would like to use WP and Zempt. Can somebody tell me if it’s possible to post accentuated characters
    using Zempt and WP ?
    Regards,
    Roland

  • I’ve just tried (my native language is Dutch and we have occasional characters like ë and ö, etc.) and it doesn’t work 🙁
    Similar error as with MT.

    But thanks for bringing Zempt up…I didn’t even think it would work with WP, but it does.

    Can you show me what your test post look like ?
    Do you have the same error that says that there is a problem during request deserialisation ?
    In fact if I remember correctly, Zempt use OEM encoding but send a header saying that the XMLRPC request is Utf-8. I’m playing with Zempt source code trying to make it work better with WP.

    Same pb … for example http://www.syldex.com/wordpress/ not really funny 🙁

    Hmm I have no luck posting using zempt.
    The error message is Error! For some strange yet very annoying reason, your entry could not be posted.

    I had a chat on #wordpress, the error message is from WP not Zempt, I’m still trying to find what can go wrong…
