• Hi

i have 2 issues with permalinks

    1) i setup a blog page and it setup automatically to domain.com/blog (permalink). because of problem#2 i deleted it. i re-created the page and named it “blog” again but this time the permalink was blog-2. i tried to edit it back to “blog” but with no luck, how can i set it up to “blog” again?

    2) when creating a subdomain blog.domain.com, it creates a folder with that name so i can’t create a blog.domain.com that will take me to domain.com/blog because the blog permalink is not a real path. is there a way to create a subdomain that will lead to the same permalink or the permalink have to be different?

    thanks

You have to empty the WP trash to clear the page slugs.

And please don’t bump. It’s very busy right now, and we look for posts without any answers to see if you still need help.

thank you very much, it worked!

regarding #2, is it possible to set a subdomain with the same name as the permalink?

    thanks

Mmm. Multisite answer: never for ‘blog’, that’s a reserved name.

But really if you want a separate blog to point to a page, just turn on MultiSite and make a blog named what you want.
