• Hi guys,

I have created a MySQL database and modified and uploaded the wp-config file with the correct values, but I can’t get the install.php to run in my browser. This seems like an easy problem to fix, but I don’t know how.

Any help would be great, thank you!!

edit: I have tried opening it in Chrome and Safari.

  • php is server language and all browsers do open php must be that you have problem on server check with your host.

Okay, but how does my hosting server affect the PHP file opening in my local browser?

Problem resolved. Admin can delete this thread, thank you

As Govpatel said, PHP is server based. Your browser doesn’t run/process PHP it just displays the results the server sends it. If the server you are connecting too isn’t configured properly to run PHP (or doesn’t have it installed) then it won’t work.
