[Plugin: Content Audit] Authors can Audit Their Own Work – Ignores Settings

I have set “Users allowed to Audit” as “Editors” and even as “Administrators” but for some reason, Authors can still audit their own works. So far I haven’t found any way to prevent authors from auditing their own submissions.

Is there any way to make to so Authors cannot audit their own works? or at least make it read only so they can see, but not change it.
