The sitewide tags blog I had on my Multisite install stopped receiving updated posts from the blogs in the network.

Is there a way to re-initialize the sitewide blog to update with the latest posts? It seems to have stopped about 2 weeks ago, and I’m just noticing that none of the more recent posts are on there. I have looked through the options on the root site, and also on the sitewide site, but I don’t see anything that allows me to update settings or posts.

What can I do to investigate this and get the posts from the network sites to start appearing on the sitewide blog again?

  • Check the db.
    Check the error logs.
Crank up the option for how many posts to save in the SWT settings page.

Say I don’t have easy access to any of those things, could I just rebuild the sitewide-tags site and hope for the best?

I’m in the corporate environment, and getting a look at the DB or error logs won’t be easy.

I had the post limit set to the default 5000 I believe.

I’d crank up the 5000 post options first. Or down.

Rebuilding the tags site blows away the posts. I think. Hrm.
