Plugin for small Category icon next to category

    I currently have a category icon next to my posts in correspondance to each category. Is there a plugin or script that can setup icons next to each category in the sidebar? Like a small 3X3 pixel icon.

    I have seen this done on a few blog websites. How is this accomplished?
