Same here – they show in “most used” but “All Categories” is empty. I can’t add categories – when I add one with a name that I had before I’m told it’s already there, and when I add a new one it just doesn’t appear.
All tags are gone, also. All my posts are “uncategorized” and have no tags.
Same thing happened to me but I didnt upgrade yet after it did it I went through the site trying to figure out if I done something wrong but I noticed my uncategorized category was back and all my others wasnt there.
I tried adding a new category but told that one already exists so I gave a new name it created but still cannot be used on my site or seen from front end.
If I look under most used they are all there.
I went ahead and upgraded it to the new version thinking it might help but no it didnt so I had a couple other things that needed updated and so I dont them but it wasnt no help.
It turned out to be unrelated for me… the 3.0.4 were without categories/tabs too.
I had very recently moved my webserver (and all the blogs) to a new computer, and I guess somehow the db didn’t copy correctly or… something got missed. I just re-copied everything and now it’s OK. I lost a few comments but hey.
