[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Last Mod Dates

    Where does the data for the last mod date come from? Especially the home page. I have made numerous changes to the homepage (it is configured as a blog rather than a static page) but none of the changes seem to affect the date reported for the homepage in the sitemap.xml file. Other dates do change, but do not seem to be exactly the time of the actual change.
