    Anyone?

I’m very interested in this too. but with custom taxonomies. It should work the same as Categories though.

    I’ve tried
    “”parent1,child1″,”parent2,child2″”

but no success. It screws up the columns and crashes the import with a ‘no such post type’ error.

thanks if anyone knows the trick!

Yes, I am looking forward to know how to import more than one category as well. I tried several things, but did not find out how this may work.

BTW: Great plugin, which will save me a ton of hours!

qw3rt7: sm906: Multiple categories can be specified the same way tags are – by separating category names with commas.

Blitzgigs: Custom taxonomies are different. You specify hierarchical taxonomies one per line. Check out the custom-taxonomies.csv file in the examples directory.

Make sure to read the manual. Because CSV does not lend itself well to complicated data formats, using advanced features of the plugin is very hard without the docs.

    hi dvkob,

Thanks for coming back to us. and thanks for the wonderful plugin!
I just saw what you’re referring to in the sample file, excel hides the multiple lines so I missed that point, sorry and thanks!

TL;DR: You need to use a carriage return/line feed character to separate the multiple taxonomy names within the column.

    Great, thanks!
