I think that this is a CSS issue – need advice

On my homepage, I have a dark background in the content area. However, there is a white band showing under it and I cannot figure out why. the class with the dark background is ‘home-content’ and the div that has the white showing below is ‘container bg1’. I tried changing heights, margin and padding but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.
