Nested category problem

    I cannot have 2 top-level categories:
    ‘General’ – General posts
    ‘Car Tech’ – Self-explanatory
    and then ‘General’ as a sub-category of ‘Car Tech’ for generalized car tech. talk…
    Seems broken by design. I get a MySQL error about ‘General’ already being taken.

    Right now you can’t have two categories with the same name, even if they have different category parents.

    A quick and dirty “cheat” is to name the sub-category ” General” (General with a space before it.) It displays just fine too, but might cause other problems that I haven’t checked for.
