Hide the Featured Image on Some Posts

I am looking to post some videos on my site. The thing is that I envision the videos at the top of the page, with text written under them. But the best I can do right now, is this:

Is there a way to make it:

Title and Menu
Video | Widgets
Text | Widgets

That way the featured image stays as a thumbnail for searches and stuff, but I can have a cool hip looking video-post so my site is the way I dream.
