By a miracle my blog is now validating for the first time. However if I use blockquote in a post there it goes again. Has anyone noticed this? Is it a bug?
Can I do anything about it? I am looking at Quicktags because I would like to
indent and a format sub paragraphs for quotes etc and I am not sure it can be done. I have tried adding a p class manually but that also screws the validation.
I can not figure out the WP algorithm, Sometimes it seems to add some html, sometimes it takes it away. Maybe I am just not inserting them right.
Nope page should validate fine with
- make sure you don't have any capitalized letters. I looked at your site but could not find anthing in blockquotes to check.
Ah! That looks sensible to me. The error I have been getting I think if I am reading it right is that WP does not close one p before opening the new one.
I will try on a new line. Thanks.

For some reason the
,
- , and
elements break my validation. How do I make it stop putting the
and
- elements in tags? What I don't understand is why
breaks my validation.
Re: blockquote > above is clearly explained. Which means do n0t use
as you do in your post; just let the WP to close the tag.
I assume it might be a similar porblem with the ul and li tags: incorrect nesting.
I just repeated what the validator said (BTW, try to revalidate and check the "Show Source" box to see the
) about starting a blockquote where is not supposed to. Like inside a paragraph...

I didn't start it inside the paragraph, WordPress did it. How do I make it stop doing that?

I'm sorry for the double posting, but I can't edit old posts. Anyway, why isn't anyone responding to the above question?!
