WP-Members ForceSSL

I’m pretty new to this. I am using the WP-Menbers plugin, but it appears not to use SSL which is required. If I edit the action on the wpmem_login form (in wp-members/wp-members-dialogs.php) to https://..... then this works ok, otherwise the user must login again to access the profile. Obviously this is not the way to go – can I easily add a hook/action to overcome this or is it something to be built into a future release?
