upload .png image

    Almost every time I try to upload an image (.png), I see the
    “http error” message from my Canvas theme by WooThemes.

    They suggest deactivating all plug-ins.

    Is there a better solution for uploading these files.

    There should not be any difference between the image extensions you upload to your Canvas. .jpg, .gif, .png they are treated the same way. However if this suggestion was recommended by the author (WooThemes) I would go right ahead and follow the instructions. It seems like there is something else going on with your plugins which prevents this usually smooth operation to function.

    Sometimes plugins can cause “http error” what Woo is suggestion is a common sense to troubleshoot WordPress.
