My company website http://www.wrkengrs.com is coming up with a 500 internal server error. When I called godaddy, they told me to deactivate all plugins and reactivate them one at a time to eliminate a potential error with one of them. I can't do that, because I no longer have access to wp admin panel (it comes up with the same 500 internal server error)
I edited the wp-config file to display more detailed error message. This showed a runtime or script timeout error. It said file permissions did not let me view the application causing the error.
I called godaddy back. They told me they ran every test possible, and that they could not find any errors. they said it was an internal network issue caused by a router or antivirus program.
I tried to find the .htaccess file to check permissions, but could not locate it through my FTP manager, even with view hidden files turned on.
I'm really not sure what to do at this point, as godaddy is saying it's not an issue on their end. I think it could be a throttling issue, but am not sure.
Any advice? Ideas for next steps?
