There was a problem with Technorati's tag cataloguing for the past month. It seems to have finally resolved itself, for me at least, just an hour ago. See this for more info: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/48496

Thanks for the reply. It seems not to have been resolved for my blog though :-(

One thing I've found after digging a bit today is that tags on my site which are "unusual" all show up, but things tagged "wordpress" "wizard" and so on don't. Maybe technorati just gets too much for "common garden variety" words as tags?

Very true. Maybe they are re-defining their "generic" tags. For example, I have never had a post catalogued under the "General" tag, even though I used to frequently use the "General" category. I'm sure that they get a million of those.

Yeah.... just look at the number of listed wordpress tags, and how many days it goes back.

Key: interesting, different tags for posts - in other words, time to buy a new thesaurus?! *laughing*

Yes, we could tag all of our posts by combining the subject and the emotion that the current post brings to mind. Ex:

    WordPressive! :)

    WordPressed :(

*snicker* That's pretty good! And would even probably work for a while....

Me, being the literal minded person I am, I was really thinking that no matter how mundane the subject matter, I could look up a juicier word in the thesaurus, hoping thereby to force tecnorati to actually LIST the damn link....

In my literal mind, example: instead of the garden-variety tag of "cookbooks", one could use "cuisine publications" or even more elaborately, "cordon bleu tomes".... Um. Yeah, it's obviously late since I'm so silly, hmm?

When do you think that Technorati will fix this issue? (if it is them)

A blog without readers or not getting indexed is a tad pointless..

I don't know. I have been submitting these blasted support tickets for over a month. I have yet to receive any form of non-automated response.
