503 Service Unavailable

    Every 10-15 or so searches I encounter a 503 Error

    Just getting a “Service Unavailable

    The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

    I have my limit set to 20 and documents in the index are 480. Is there anyway I can slim down some options to stop getting this message?

    Your site is fairly small to start with, and the limit of 20 is small enough to really hurt your search results. Disabling custom excerpts saves a lot of resources. Changing them to be based on words instead of characters also saves computing power.

    Sounds like Relevanssi might just be too much for your server. You may want to consider externally hosted alternatives, like AddSearch.
