    Just installed this plugin for the first time tonight. I went to go into the options and I'm hit with a 503 Service Unavailable. I am running the latest versions of WordPress and NextGen Gallery.

    I assume this is for NGFB Open Graph v5.2.2?

    Would you mind enabling the various debug modes and post any NGFB related errors you see in the debug.log? The topic is covered in the sticky post here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/please-read-before-posting-2?replies=3

    The following should be enough:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    if ( defined('WP_DEBUG') ) {
            define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
            define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
            @ini_set('display_errors',0);
    }

    define('NGFB_DEBUG', false);
    define('NGFB_WP_DEBUG', true);

    Thanks,

    js.

    Yes. Sorry I thought I wrote I was using the latest version 5.2.2.

    Here is the log file: http://bit.ly/13AdzGd

    Hm. Well, I don't see any errors... Does this happen on all the NGFB setting pages, or just one? Does the error show on just part of the page, or is it the whole page content?

    Try adding the following to your wp-config.php:

    define('NGFB_CURL_DISABLE', true);

    Let me know if that fixes your issue.

    Thanks,

    js.

    It happens on all the NGFB setting pages. I have yet to see them. The entire page is this:

    503 Service Unavailable

    The server is temporarily busy, try again later!
    Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
    LiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!

    Also, I added that code in wp-config.php and still no luck. I added it below the other code you sent above. Does order matter?

    I changed the order to have that code above the debug info and it still didn't change FYI.

    If there are links to older versions of the plugin, I can try one of those if this will help.

    Well, doing a Google Search for LiteSpeed "503 Service Unavailable" wordpress turns up quite a lot of similar issues. My original hypothesis was that it was related to PHP's curl, which on some servers, seems to have some issues.

    You could try downloading and installing the latest DEV version (there are a few changes related to PHP's curl in there):

    You could also try v5.1.1:

    Thanks,

    v5.1.1 worked without issue.

    The latest dev version gave me the same 503 errors.

    Hm. Well, v5.2+ are a little quicker, so probably worth figuring out where things get hung up. Have you tried v5.2? You can download it here: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-facebook.5.2.zip

    If v5.1.1 works, but v5.2 doesn't, then it'll give us a good starting point to figure out what your server doesn't like...

    Thanks,

    js.

    Okay. Good thinking. 5.1.1 & 5.2 allows me to get into the settings area (all pages).

    5.2.1-5.2.3 All gave 503 errors. I still have the wp-config set up with the info you gave above.

    You mean 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 (DEV) gave you errors, right? I don't think you tried 5.2.1. Might be worth a try.

    Whoops. Yeah, I didn't try 5.2.1 until just a minute ago. It does not work either.

    So it looks like the issue starts at 5.2.1.

    Ok, well, that's not too bad -- not that many changes between 5.2 and 5.2.1. I created a kind of in-between version. Would you mind giving this one a try?

    That also works fine. I was able to get to all the pages without issue.

    Ok, cool. Getting there. ;-) Download the same link again and let me know if that one works. I think I *may* have an idea... It could be the readme.txt/markdown parsing...

    Thanks,

    js.

    Ok, not bad - almost there. Download and install 5.2.TEST again. This one is *almost* 5.2.1, except for the stripped-down Markdown class...

    Thanks,

    js.

    Ok, I started modifying the Markdown class, in 5.2.TEST and in 5.2.3 (DEV) as well.

    Could you download 5.2.TEST again and give it a go?

    And if you're feeling really ambitious, you could give the DEV version another shot: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-facebook.zip

    Thanks,

    js.

    It also still worked once I took out all the extra info in my wp-config file.
