I’m not familiar enough with the structure of index.php to where I feel comfortable just picking a spot; I don’t want to place it in the middle of a loop structure, or break up a long multi-line instruction.
Place it on the line aboe </body>
.
is the sitemeter code at all visible? i don’t know about it..if it’s not visible i can tell you around where to put it
if it is…it depends where youwant it to show up…

sitemeter code is visible – & visitors can follow it to see your stats.
It is a small box that appears at the bottom of the page. Look at bmwlaguna.blogspot.com and scroll to the bottom. Sitemeter (in this case) is in the sidebar, which is where I think I’d want it, too.
did you try where carthik said to put it?
if ou want it in your sidebar maybe put it between the menu div’s just after or before the links to wp and the validator and other such things…i dont know your site so i can’t say for sure…
but you could try carthik’s suggestion…
(I don’t see a post from a user named carthik)
I’ll try it after the validator code in the sidebar and see how it goes. Wish me luck.
Carthik aka 2fargon (by the by, is that a state of being or mind?)
Carthik = 2fargon. I said :
put it just above the </body>
in index.php
earlier.
I love site meters…I have a friend who lives by his. I make him feel good every day by going to his site and refreshing the page about 50 times or so. He’s pretty happy with all the hits he’s been getting!
🙂

lol
Everybody please set up an account at http://uptime.openacs.org/uptime for NuclearMoose’s friend 🙂
Putting the code in after the validator code did the trick. One battle down, 325 remaining.
Thanks for the help.
