[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Meta Descriptions Don't Work

    Is there something that needs to be hard coded into the php files of the theme to ensure that meta descriptions appear properly? I have added meta descriptions in both posts and in the ‘Titles’ section of the plugin and neither set of descriptions shows up on the live site.

    My theme is customized, so that may be the problem, but I just need to know what to add to the theme to allow the descriptions to show up and I should be fine.
