• Hello all. I’m trying to figure out how to remove the image rotator in my 2nd sidebar. It isn’t a widget. I didn’t know enough to set it up, so it must be default. Why is it a default, and more importantly, how do I get rid of it? Thanks for all replies.

  • Hi, can you tell me which theme you are using? The image rotator is probably coded into the theme, and that’s why you can’t see it as a widget.
If you can tell me which theme you are using, I might be able to tell you how to disable it.

Hello, dholowiski, thanks for your reply.

I am using Thesis 1.8 for the theme.

I think I already learned something — widgets are part of WordPress, not Thesis.

I looked thru some of the .php and .css files but couldn’t see where it was, but it must be in one of those files.

    Thanks for any reply.

Hey, it’s great that you’re learning. Yes, widgets are a part, actually a major feature, of WordPress.

If the theme has a ‘sidebar.php’, you’ll probably find the code for it there. If not, check out the index.php file, and look for references to a sidebar.
