[resolved] 500px gallery not displaying in my blog (8 posts)

I am much of a beginner on WP, so this doubt might be basic!

I have installed Photonic on my hosted WP platform. I could not get success in getting my 500px photos in "Frames" page of blog. Here is what I am doing

    1) In Photonic settings, I setup consumer key and secret from 500px (Checked twice and it is right)

Now I go to "Frames" page and insert media, here I choose Photonic and choose 500px settings, resulting code looks like:

    [gallery type='500px' view='photos' view_id='vishalbiyani' feature='user' user_id='vishalbiyani' username='vishalbiyani' sort='created_at' rpp='20' thumb_size='1' main_size='3' columns='3' ]

But I don't see any photos rendered!

You need either user_id or username. As it stands your user_id is incorrect and can be removed.

Thanks for response Sayontan but I am afraid that did not work either!

What is your current shortcode and what is your URL?

    Shortcode:
    [gallery type='500px' view='photos' view_id='vishalbiyani' feature='popular' username='vishalbiyani' sort='created_at' rpp='20' thumb_size='1' main_size='3' ]

    My 500px URL: 500px.com/vishalbiyani

    My 500px URL: 500px.com/vishalbiyani

I meant your WP site URL where you have Photonic, not your 500px URL :-)

Regardless, remove the view_id parameter and you should be good to go. The view_id parameter is relevant if you are retrieving a single object, so here it is trying to fetch a photo with the id vishalbiyani (and it ignores all other parameters), which doesn't exist. Also, you are trying to retrieve "popular" photos by you - it is likely that you don't have any that show up in the global list of popular photos. So instead of feature='popular' use feature='user'.

Awesome, it worked. Here is the URL http://www.vishalbiyani.com/frames

and I was going wrong with "view_id"

    Thanks a ton Sayontan!
