Can't get any SEO plugin to show my META description or TITLE

I have no idea what’s going on. I tried Ultimate SEO, Greg’s High Performance and some other bs and they simply won’t display my website title (at the top of the browser) when I input it.

I’ve used the regular TITLE and META tags since my site’s inception, but I thought I’d try to improve my website’s ranking. Interestingly enough, I’ve tried installing other themes, and with the SEO plugin installed, it gets recognized.

So I guess this is a theme issue, although I have no idea where even to begin. I’ve already gone ahead and reinserted my TITLE and META tags, so yes, it works now without the plugins.

Idk how you all can help but if you can throw out any piece of advice I’d be grateful, thanks.
