   Awesome, I love it!

   However, is it just me or does upgrade from v1.5.2 not work right? I can't get my blog to load after I upgrade. :/

   Shame, it's so awesome -- I wanna use it on my real blog. :(

   It is just you - "you" may be plural but it does not include my blog as it upgraded from 1.5.2 just fine after running upgrade.php (which I am sure you didn't forget to do).

   Heh, yeah, I am forgetful, but not that forgetful. I deleted all WordPress files except my config and wp-content, uploaded the new ones, and ran upgrade.php. :)

   I just realized though that the problem is most likely a plugin, probably the one that ensures people are using the proper URL to view items on my blog (i.e. a trailing slash and such).

   I've had enough of WP dealings for tonight, but tomorrow I'll upgrade again, this time in "safe mode", i.e. all plugins deactivated. ;)

   Decided to try again after all and it worked like a charm on my local copy of my blog after I disabled all plugins before upgrading! Guess that's what I get for not doing so first. lol

    Fresh install... Testing skins from Alex King. All the ones i've tested are working perfect. Using Wordpress Theme Manager to download/install themes.

    I found a problem with Opera Web Browser : When I try to edit a Post, I can't see the new toolbar (to edit the style of the post)
    However It works with Firefox...

    Got a small issue, some plugins will not activate, they say they are activated then are still marked inactive?

    Any ideas? also the excecute-pings.php is taking a very long time to return at times and is affecting the rich editor.

    Also while i'm on it, chenpress does not work, and the rich editor blocks iespell from working.

    You can't, there is a newer version now, RC1. The links to it are displayed when you click the Beta 2 link.

    I downloaded the Beta RC1. The first thing I tried was to upload an image. That worked, but the code WP produced was completely wrong (incomplete, missing closing tags, not even close). I'm using Firefox. Am I missing something? I thought this Beta2 would not have such a basic bug as that.

    This is an update to my post just above. I realize now that I can't even see the WSIWYG buttons that should be there in 2.0. Perhaps something is not functioning (i.e., uploaded in binary...?). I'll reload some things and try again.

    Ian, yes, there is a redirect to a download page for RC1, both downloads worked fine just now.

    Pardon my ignorance, I am a newbie at WP versioning. I downloaded and installed RC back on Nov 29th. The folders and contents in wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes have newer dates. Am I to assume that this the RC1 downloaded today would be more current? My other question, so is the nightly build reflect changes even though the candidate number has not changed?

    Changes are made continuously as the developers have time. A download last week may or may not be different from a download today, depending on whether work has been done. When enough work has been done, the devs will make a version change, I assume RC1 to RC2 (but it could skip straight to a release).

    I would not re-download the RC1, but download just the few files that have changed since the date I first downloaded the release - assuming a whole slew of files haven't changed since the last dl or I was not using the SVN (which makes keeping current SO much easier).
