It’s asking you to log back in. Did you log in?

Try flushing your browser cookies and cache.

Thanks for the suggestion!! I really appreciate your help! So unfortunately I did that and I still get the /wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fdlapproductions.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    Message. Any other suggestions?

That is how wordpress works http://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin is redirecting to a log in page.

I understand that… the problem is that the page is blank. There isn’t any way to log in. It resolves on a blank white page with nothing on it. Any thoughts?

New info! Thank you for saying WAHT was wrong with the page πŸ™‚ we cant login after all.

Did you just upgrade WordPress or install a plugin? I would go in with FTP ante rename the plugins folder to plugins-old and see if that helps.

I did just do an upgrade but this was happening before the upgrade. I will try what you said and report back. Thanks Ipstenu wish me luck!

It is recommended that you deactivate all plugins and switch to default theme and backup your database then upgrade as there may be some plugins or theme that may not be compatible with the upgrade.

So that you can log in and then activate one at time and update plugins if needed.

But how can I do that if I can’t even get to the admin page? Should I just delete the files on the FTP?

Using ftp rename the plugins folder in wp-content tp plugins-hold and create a blank plugins folder and try and login if you logged in fine then come back to ftp and delete the blank plugins folder you created and rename the original back to plugins.

In admin panel deactivate all plugins if not deactivated and activate one at time to find conflicting plugin.

If you still can not log in by resetting plugins then rename the theme you using in wp-content/themes folder and then try log in.

So I tried to rename the theme and then the entire site became just a white page. I did the thing with the plug in folders also. No change. Any other thoughts?

Don’t rename the theme, because you will have the blank page. One of the plugins you have is in conflict with WordPress.

Upload the fresh copy of WordPress and keep your plugins renamed until you make this in working condition again. When all is back to normal, check the plugins and make sure that all of them are up to date and compatible with the latest WordPress.

Tonight I had similar issue with one of the test sites, there was only couple of plugins in, so I deleted both of them and the site started working. If you know what plugins you have, or better yet download plugins folder to your local machine and delete all plugins that you have on server side.

    Cheers,
    Emil

marinis32 – If you rename the theme, make SURE you don’t rename the theme folder ‘twentyten’ πŸ™‚ That’s the default.

if you’re using that, then it’s NOT the theme πŸ˜‰

Did you rename the plugins folder like we said?

If all fails only thing you could do is delete all wordpress files and folders except wp-content and wp-config.php and backup your database upload a from fresh download of wordpress.
