    Hi. Total newbie needing help here.

    I tried to install a plugin, I believe it’s called “simple page sidebars”, and after clicking “activate this plugin” I got redirected to a “500 Internal Server Error” page.

    Now when I try to acces my site, and even log in to the administration panel (wp-login.php) I get that same server error page. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I

  • It is probably the .HTACCESS – call your host and have them look into it or you can try accessing the FTP and deleting the PLUGIN MANUALLY in yoursitewordpress/wp-content/plugins/

    Hey, thanks for the reply. As I said, total newbie here, so could you maybe explain how to access the FTP?

    Sure with your WEB HOSTING you should have a place you LOGIN manage the HOSTING – in there you should be able to find FTP, then you can do in through there and delete it.. Becareful though as a newbie – you could call your host and ask them to delete it for you 🙂
