   I cannot access my dashboard due to an .htaccess issue. How can I get WordPress to automatically update my file?

   wordpress is not able to change the .htaccess file. Somebody must be hacked your server or site. .htaccess file related to apache server setting.

   Hi we can change file permission using ftp(like filezilla) right click the file display file permission options
   then you can change according your requirement.
