   Hi - I've just upgrade my blog to v 2.71 from v 2.7 with the option in the admin panel. Now the site is not working I get the 500 internal server error, I cannot access the admin panel as well. I don't know what to do to have the site back and running.
   Can someone please help?

   look in the wordpress root and delete the
   .maintenance
   file if it exists

   then I will guess one or more files didn't make it and you will need to upgrade manually

   you possibly could have a real server problem - you might ask your host 1st

   I had to downgrade through a 'luckyme' back-up :(

   I just upgraded from 2.6.2 to 2.7.1 and experienced the same blank screen and a 500 error.

   What I did to fix it was to delete all plugins via FTP and then was able to log in to WP admin. Added each plug in manually and activated one by one, logging out and back in after each plugin was activated.
