Hi, yes there’s a way but this required some quite advanced programmation skills :
1) in the footer class for the HTML markup to create additional columns
2) in your functions, to create new widgets area in those new columns
Hope this will help you find your way!
Ig you’re not a coder, I’m wondering if a workaround might be simpler to setup:
This Snippet describes how to setup a 3-column footer using Widget Builder. As the footer widget can use Text, you could try to code HTML in the Left & Right widget areas that creates 2 columns. Pictorially, it would look something like:
Footer (span12)
Widget Area One (span4)
Widget One A (span6)
Widget One B (span6)
Widget Area Two(span4)
Widget Two (span12)
Widget Area Three (span4)
Widget Three A (span6)
Widget Three B (span6)
Let me know if you try it and it works!
I’m not not a coder. The link to Snippet you referred is lost. Please check it out. Tks.
Hi WPyogi,
When clicking the link, it come to the new page like below:
The default Footer area can be easily modified – see Snippet.
… and the link there is lost.

They are:
