Multisite using subdirectories, one SSL for admin?

    I have assumed that as my blogs are in subdirectories of the root domain, if I have a dedicated IP and SSL for this domain, I can secure all of the associated admin areas and maybe logins?

    I need to check if this is possible, before I pay for hosting services…!!!
