• Until recently, WP was working fine. However, I now have issues adding links, saving widgets, etc using Firefox.

    I have tried a fresh install of FF w/ no extensions and have the latest WP version installed. Note this is happening on all my WP blogs, though all functions still work properly in Chrome and IE. It’s as if the latest WP and/or FF updates don’t like each other.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I do not know of any such issue.

    I updated to 3.0 => 3.0.1 => 3.0.2 => 3.0.3, and I have not experienced any such issue with FF (I use both FF and IE8).

    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the culprit.

    Try (if you already have not tried):

    -switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    Sometimes you need to remove the plug-ins completely otherwise the hooks remain. So it’s best to rename/move the plug-ins directory temporarily and move each plug-in back to test it.

    No issues with FF 3.6 or 4 Beta here either.

    Okay, I’ve tried all the above, but no luck. I have even tried a complete reinstall of FF and tried an in-place WP reinstall.

    I’m still not able to save editing in widgets. The only thing which seems to work is enabling accessibility mode.

    The linking issue seems to be limited to one of my blogs. In editing a page or post, if I highlight text and press the link button, the dialog box opens, though it is blank.

    It seems I may have two issues, may or may not related.

    I don’t have this problem using FF in my WP installation. So I cannot reproduce the issue to investigate further.

    Another solution is yo temporarily disable your security software on your PC and see if that fixes it. It might be a simple case of something interfering with the connection.
