I installed Gecka Submenues for the Custom Menu Widget. If works fine on all menu items that are regular pages but on menu items that are category lists.

Sometimes it just doesn’t show the menu, but other times it shows the wrong menu based on a completely different parent item.

    My settings

    Use top parent item title
Start menu from: Current page’s top parent
    Depth: 2
    Show description: No

So I sent and email to the dev of this plugin three weeks ago, no response. I posted here a week ago, no response.

I found a similar plugin that does what I need here…
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/dynamic-subpages/

It just doesn’t show any menu when the menu “page” is in fact a category. Not optimal, but way better then Gecka’s glitchy behavior.

    Hello,

Sorry for the late reply but we have been very busy with our customers.

May you please try the SVN version and tell us if it does what you want?

    It should.

    Best regards.
