• Greetings, and thanks in advance for any suggestions. I’ll make the obligatory note that I’m a linux/webhosting newbie.

Problem: WordPress installed fine, connects with the MySQL database, and displays and works functionally within my local area network (I’m hosting on a home computer behind a router). When I try to look at the blog from a work computer (outside of my network), I get only the text part of the blog (no themes, etc.). (see this at http://www.yardapple.com:8080 load time might be a little long).

Troubleshooting: I placed a stock standard html website (nothing more complicated than a few pictures) up, and it displays fine over the internet. I’ve edited my hosts file to include lines linking my domain name with localhost (127.0.0.1) (suggested by a wordpress support topic). I have a similar problem getting a mediawiki to appear outside of the local network.

Technical info: WordPress running on apache 2.0, under a Fedora 4 installation of linux.

    Thank you for your time.
