  • If your site was working fine before then using ftp rename your plugins folder to plugins-hold and create a new folder plugins and then try to log in once logged in go back in ftp and delete plugins folder and rename plugins-hold back plugins.

Now you need to activate plugins one at time and see which one caused the problem.

I know nothing about computer stuff, which is why I’m so frustrated and that it took so long to create this site.

I don’t know how to get to FTP. This is what happened
I installed a RSS widget named it Letemhaveit and the url http://www.letemhaveit.net then I previewed and clicked on it to test it, once doing that it took me to a page that said my site is broken. Now my page is blank with no theme, and the links do not pull up anything. How to I get back into the dashboard to change get rid of that RSS widget?
I just want the site to be back the way it was, but I don’t know how to get to FTP. GoDaddy is the host of this wordpress site.

Since you have problem with computers and the server will be a problem for you as you will need to get rid of that widget and since you can not log in admin panel it can only be done using ftp which you do not know about or loging in Go daddy and make changes there.

I can help you if you can skype me if you use skype or come in my conference room from my website click on red online button

I actually downloaded a ftp site called filezilla because my brother told me that the host shouldn’t have anything to do with it. My host is media temple. I was able to login into FTP and view the files I tried the steps you suggested with renaming the plugin folder to plugin-hold and creating a new folder plugin, but it still didn’t work to get in the site. So then I deleted the widgets folder but it’s still not working. I probably screwed it up worse.

it should be plugins not plugin

    Hi,

I was able to get into ftp to rename the plugins folder to plugins-hold then added an additional folder and named it plugins, it still didn’t work. I also tried to just delete all the plugins, renamed the theme, didn’t work. We have tried a number of different things, is there anyway we can chat again to try and figure it out. I think when I installed the RSS it asked for URL so I put letemhaveit.net, I think that is what is messing it is on a loop.
    Thank you!

Yes I am in my room now
