I don’t know if anyone here can help me, but I designed a site for a client (www.generalhafeezah.com/wordpress) and some of the images are being cut off on the top and bottom, and sometimes on the sides.

if you look at the blue and pink cover images under “The Book”, and also the married couple under “Sneak Peek” and the wedding rings under “Services”.

I have tried all I can think of and cannot seem to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • go to settings > media and uncheck the Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional) box.

    Thank you for your response,

unfortunately that box was already unchecked.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

You may try changing the thumbnail size under Settings >> Media to a larger size than 150 x 150.

The thumbnail size was already at 150 by 200 but I just changed it to 300 by 400.

However I still don’t see any changes in the images in question.

I clicked “update” on the page (after clearing the cache) to see if maybe when wordpress had to fetch it a second time it would update it. But everything still looks the same.

The images do not automatically change to the new size, they will need to be reloaded to take advantage of the new thumbnail size.

    That fixed it! It worked!

However, that was a pain in the %*&^!

Even just now, images that I didn’t want to go into the gallery kept going into the gallery, and then I had to delete the entire gallery to remove an image from it.

There’s got to be an easier way.
