• I’ve been looking for a plugin that would act like the one on ‘The Economist’ frontpage: http://www.economist.com – showing 3 featured articles on mouseover. Finally I’ve found this plugin:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/unpointzero-slider/
and I’ve modified it, and the result is close to what I want:
    1. Plugin looks like the one on economist.com
    2. Slides change on mouse over
BUT, there is still one important thing, that I cannot deal with: I have no clue how to make post titles on the right link to the posts. It would be great as well to enable this fadeIn, fadeOut option (when slides change) but I don’t know how as well. If you don’t know what I mean, check the plugin on economist.com.

I would appreciate if someone could take a look at this problem. Here are the files I modified: http://hotfile.com/dl/87617918/2013136/unpointzero-slider-modified.rar.html

I believe the solution is between lines 47 – 56 in file: Slider.php

I’m trying to get this set up but the photos are not showing up. I have the slider on a test page here:

    http://www.whoismattscott.com/slider-test/

I would ask for help on the developers site but it’s in a foreign language.

I made a page (yes, page not post) and uploaded 2 photos on it. I set the page to *not* be shown on the navigation because I don’t want the page visible, I’m just using it for the slider images. Photos are uploaded via the default WP v3.0.5 image upload on the editor page.

I do not want this tied to posts or post images, I just want to display photos.

I have the ABS code set in the template I want to use.

I have gone into the slider admin and set:

Page name is entered, tried using the page ID number and that didn’t help.

Display posts or pages (pages is checked)
    Number of slides = 2
Width and height is set for the front image, I don’t want to use thumbnails.

    Any ideas?
