Center aligning linked images

    This has been a problem which has been bugging me for the longest time.

    How can we center align linked images without using <p style="text-align:center;"> ... </p>

    The code which WordPress provides to center align does not work for linked images not filling the entire width of the content area because of display: block;.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
