I have WP 1.2 installed at current server... but I am transferring my site to other Server, where I want to install WP 1.5.
I took backup from the current WP 1.2 using Backup plugin
and tried to restore it at the new server in WP 1.5.
But nothing happened...
Is it possible to restore 1.2 DB Backup to WP 1.5 ?
And what will be the exact procedure to be followed.
1.2 and 1.5.2 have different structure of the DB.
In the order you've tried probably will not work.
Having a 1.2 DB and THEN uploading the 1.5.2 files AND running upgrade.php might work.

Followed the steps provided... under http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrade_1.2_to_1.5

Just later I have uploaded olf .CSS file, as otheriwse there was no Template... just white background. No provisions for comments, no menus, etc.
Though everything at the Back-End seems fine... it shows all the Posts that previously existed before upgrading.
I have selected a Template also.
Any suggestions... will be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
I am afraid you didn't pay attention to this part of the guide:
[[Upgrade_1.2_to_1.5#New_Template_System]]
You cannot have your old stylesheet (as you do now) AND activated a theme. Please, read about the themes, since it has been a radical change compared to 1.2.

After following the steps, the site was as it is now.
Just one post is visible and White Background.
Later, just uploaded... .css and now have deleted it. But still things remain the same.... Tried activating the Themes... but nothing appears.
