  • Is this resolved? I am trying to put the posts in the theme’s sidebar.

Jake, we discussed that already in my blog. There is a working Widget in the Pro-Version available.

    Hi again!
I know we did. I also told you I can’t afford the Pro-Version. I´m sure it´s great though.

I was hoping someone here on the forum could point me in the right direction. I just want to know where to put this code so I can try for myself.

It is a lot of work to code the widget. No Copy’n’Past trick… Btw: Didn’t you say you will look for another plugin!?

I did say I was going to look for another plugin but decided to give this another try.
Since there are resolved posts here on the forum about what i´m trying to do I was hoping someone could give me some pointers.

I gave up because I never got an answer. I found this one it has much less overhead plus no “pro” version costs. Not sure if it will do what you need it to, but it works for us.

Plus no nagging in your dashboard.

Thanks for your reply, Steve! I’ll check that out.

Steve, no one answered to your question because it were a waste of time. This is really simple PHP Code (btw it is deprecated) and if you cannot understand it you will never be able to display the associated posts anywhere in your theme. And with due respect: If you do not have a clue hire someone who has the it!

Wow. Seems like me and Steve both completely misunderstood what these SUPPORT Forums was about…

Hey Jake, you know what I mean.

Support means something else than “Please tell me how I could build my own space shuttle without any knowledge about math, physics and astronomy.” 😉 No offense meant!

    I agree.
However it also means something else than “you’ll never understand anyway, so I’ll just ignore your question or tell you to pay someone else to do it.” 😉

I do understand that you don’t want to work for free, but then maybe the plugin should not be for free either.

@ Wallyjakeman, I have been working with WP since Version 1.2, I have helped many others when I can. Sometimes it is in setup, use, testing, marketing the product. We all contribute our skills when we can.

“I do understand that you don’t want to work for free, but then maybe the plugin should not be for free either.” said Wallyjakeman

If it were not free it could not be listed in the WordPress Plugins area.

“Steve, no one answered to your question because it were a waste of time.” said Mr. Hoppe

Yes two months, when I got notice of a posting on this thread I came to see what the response was. It was not a solution, or that you would not answer the question, it was someone else looking for a solution too. I was ignored for two months, and that’s ok it’s your time. I put no demands on that.

I gave the user an alternate solution, within a reasonable time.

I changed the status to resolved, the resolution is to use another plugin.
