Password Protection

Hi there, I was wondering if there was a way for the password entry box that appears on the WP page to be like an actual pasword box – where the letters are replaced by *’s? Also, is there a way for the password to clear after the browser closes? I entered the password for one of my entries yesterday, and since then, my computer has been restarted. However, I went to the page today and the full entry still shows up. Is there a way to prevent this from happening on everyone’s computers, so they have to log in to see them every time?
Sorry if this sounds confusing. Thanks a ton if you can help me out. 🙂

The cookie is set and it stays set for a few hours/days. There is no way to forget the password/logout after the browser is closed. The last I heard, the devs know that this would be a nice feature to have, and I am sure they will work on providing this useful feature soon.

JenniferF., it is not clear to me what the problem with the password field is, cause in my blog, when I log in, I can only see *** and not the password itself.
Where do you see the entered password, is it on the log in page?

The location of your blog is at http://mtwib.enlumina.org/wp, not http://mtwib.enlumina.org/

I’ve changed the location of blog, but the password fields are still not working, the last one is “my pass” ..I’ve tried everything to no avail :/

I do not have the solution. But I found a thing that should lead to it.

WordPress users who have the problem that the password protected post just refresh after filling in the password, and do not show the post, all sites do not have ‘www’ in front of their website.

I use a subdomain http://ifolio.idfact.net. ( at lycos) In mij admin I have the same URL in both the wordpress address as in the weblog address ( under options). And I can’t change them. Strange enough.

Using wordpress 2.0.4

I do not know much about php etc. But this must lead to the answer. Anyone?

it was my gengo plugin which caused the problem. But thanx to the writer it is fixed now.
