custom themes on wpmu install

    I want to have 2000 sites in my network in wpmu. The sites are divided into categories and according to the categories the header and footer would change slightly, i.e., color, header image and footer image but the template should remain the same. Also, I want it to be done by making change at one place only and if possible by using some GUI like wordpress admin area where user gets option to change the header image, color, etc. Is there a plugin for the same. I looked but couldn’t find anything or will I need to code something in php?
    Could someone please help me with this?

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/safecss/ should be able to do that for you.

    Or use a theme that has a lot of those options built in. Seriously, I can think of a dozen offhand…

    Thanks for you help. Just another question. Will it allow user to update the header and the footer at a later stage as well. I need a functionality where I can change the header and the footer every month probably for a category (it is not the wp default category,it is a category I will divide the blogs by) and do the same for each one of them. Every category will then have different header and footer image and one update at one place should make changes to the all the sites under that category.
