• Hi,

I’m not happy with the look and feel of my website and so I have decided to move away from the blog look and try and create a more professional-looking website. I’m not happy with the sidebar that comes with WordPress and would like to remove traces of WordPress from my website, so that it looks a bit more unique and reputable. WordPress is an excellent source for creating a site and I have really enjoyed using it, but I feel that I’m limited in what I can do.

I have researched the net and found that there are a lot of free website creation programmes out there. Does anyone know which is the best to use? I don’t want to sign up to all of them to be honest…

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • actually i like your page.
I have no clue what kind of skills you have so its hard to give you some advice.

Using a CMS would probably be something you’d like to do if you still like having some kind of comfort.
If you want to script all the stuff by yourself it will be a lot of work.
You are sure you want to do that?

Because than it will really fast look really bad.

You probably just try to make your version of wordpress look unique.

Thank you for the good advice.

I do like the theme, but I have a problem with the sidebar containing things like Meta

and I’m really a beginner so I don’t know how to change these things. Tbh the only skills i have is how to use basic WordPress. Would you say I should study WordPress to change these kinds of things? Does WordPress allow you to create a professional website and remove things such as the above?

I’m quite clueless I’ve realised lol!
